Congratulations To Obama, the next president of the United States. I called this on February 10th in Obama: The Next President Of The United States. Tonight he took another step forward.

By not conceding, Hillary is still clinging to an impossible hope. Some think she is holding out for a vice presidential nomination.
Senator Barack Obama claimed the Democratic presidential nomination on Tuesday night, prevailing through an epic battle with Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton in a primary campaign that inspired millions of voters from every corner of America to demand change in Washington.
A last-minute rush of Democratic superdelegates, as well as the results from the final primaries in Montana and South Dakota, pushed Mr. Obama over the threshold of winning the 2,118 delegates needed to be nominated at the party’s convention in Denver in August. It was an improbable triumph for Mr. Obama, the son of a black Kenyan father and white Kansan mother, who served as an Illinois state senator just four years ago. In giving Mr. Obama the victory, his party broke a racial barrier.
“You chose to listen not to your doubts or your fears, but to your greatest hopes and highest aspirations,” Mr. Obama said at a rally in St. Paul. “Tonight, we mark the end of one historic journey with the beginning of another — a journey that will bring a new and better day to America. Because of you, tonight, I can stand before you and say that I will be the Democratic nominee for president of the United States.”
Obama clearly reached out to Clinton supporters with his speech tonight, but it would be a horrendous mistake for him to put Clinton on the ticket. She is a lightening rod and as stubborn as Bush. She could energize the McCain campaign. It's time for a change. And for better or worse we are going to have one.
The country is tired of war, tired of divisiveness, tired of arrogance, and tired of leaders who are unwilling to admit a mistake. Hillary represents the status quo on at least 3 out of 4 of those and I think all 4. Certainly someone who cannot admit a mistake in voting for the war in Iraq, is arguably stubborn enough to stay the course.
A fresh, new face and viewpoint looking to the potential of the future rather than old models of the past will send an invigorating hopeful message about America. His election will be a clear reversal from the past eight years.
Many tell me that Obama will not end this war, that he will not pull our troops out, and that he will be stymied by politics as usual.
I am willing to give Obama a chance for the simple reason he is the only chance we have.
